About Raquel

I currently work for QwikRecruiting as the Director of Creative Communication and manage various social media platforms, create content, and produce and edit a weekly podcast with various college football coaches.

Before joining QwikRecruiting, I served as a host, reporter, and digital producer for on-camera content at Babcock Hoops. Before Babcock Hoops, I was a news producer for NBC affiliate KVOA in Tucson, Arizona. At KVOA, I produced the 4 O'Clock newscast covering local stories across southern Arizona and national headlines.

I attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. While in school, I worked as a sports reporter for GOAZCATS.com, a school fan website that is part of rivals.com and the Yahoo! Sports Network. Additionally, I was a sports reporter for UATV, the student-run news network. I was also a member of the Cheerleading and Mascots program. While on the cheer team, I earned the following awards: Highest Cumulative GPA Award for the University of Arizona Cheerleading, Lifetime Cheerleader Award, Hardest Working Teammate Award, and Golden "A" Cheerleader Award. In my sophomore year of college, I was in charge of the cheer program's social media. I served as the cheer team captain during my junior and senior years. I graduated in December of 2018, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a minor in Sports Management.

Despite being involved in many sports activities myself, I also grew up in a "sports family." My father, Rich Rodriguez, has been a football coach at the NCAA Division I level for more than 20 years. My mother, Rita Rodriguez, was a college cheerleader at West Virginia University. My brother, Rhett Rodriguez, played football at the University of Arizona and the University of Louisiana Monroe.

Some fun facts about me are that I have two Pomeranian dogs named Roxie and Rambo. I am currently working on launching a podcast with my father about college football and the new era of sports. In my free time, I like to paint on canvases. My favorite movie is The Shack, and I enjoy watching light-hearted shows such as The Office, Friends, and New girl.

I currently live in Tucson, Arizona.
